Given that I spend my days writing about exciting new trends and tempting fashion finds, itâs embarrassing to admit that I still find myself wearing a jeans-based outfit most of the time. Theyâre just so reliable and versatile, and when the temperatures plummet, they just make everyday dressing that bit easier.Â
But itâs the start of a new year, and Iâm determined to do things differently. And who better to turn to for sartorial inspiration than the ultra-stylish Scandis? Their fresh take on the minimalist aesthetic feels the closest to my personal style, and therefore the easiest way to coax me out of my jeans in 2024.
To ease myself into giving up the denim, Iâm leaning towards the most straight-forward substitutions. That means introducing black and brown tailored trousers, corduroy wide-leg trousers and even leggings into my rotation, and taking inspiration from the Scandis on how to layer pieces on top to create dynamic, sleek looks. And for the days when Iâm feeling a tad more adventurous, there are effortless skirt and dress options to explore, too.
